Taken from their website:
“Enterprising Health® (EH) is a business accelerator located in midtown Detroit that provides seed funding and mentorship to social entrepreneurs who are developing or expanding a health-related business. Special emphasis is placed on businesses that are addressing infant mortality, diabetes / obesity, and access to care. EH does not work with conceptual businesses. The program, which is sponsored by St. John Providence Health System, will be accepting applications in September and October for its next round of funding. Social entrepreneurs will be able to seek funding up to $10,000.”
In October 2013, Enterprising Health awarded us a $10,000 grant to go toward marketing and branding materials to be used as we expand into new neighborhoods during 2014. In late 2013, we started a campaign called “Grow The Good” in response to the foundation so graciously agreeing to sponsor the purchase of a brand new reach in cooler. The cooler will be installed in whichever retail location has consistent sales of 200 meals/week. So far numbers are looking great and we’ve almost hit our mark! That translates to 600+ healthier options provided by us per month, to enable 600+ healthier food decisions made by Detroiters.
